Waka Toa had the pleasure of entertaining the Master Builders from the Northern and Central Districts who were in Gisborne at the weekend for a reunion.

Organisers Francis and Ally Yates after seeing Waka Toa at the historical Whaitiripapa Pa site two years ago decided they would do it again.  And they did!

Here is what they thought about their time with Waka Toa:
We farewelled our friends and everyone with out exception commented how much they enjoyed their time with your group. I believe it was the highlight of their weekend and each person took something out of it differently.

The interaction between us, the story of your people so well told, the explanation and demonstration of the weapons, to the songs and the spiritual side of  you all did more for relationships between peoples than all the seminars and so called experts put together.

Congratulations on a performance that ranks right up with the best.
We gave you a 10 out of 10.

2010 has been a year of significant change and growth for Waka Toa.  Kohi is pictured below with some of Waka Toa's newest members.  Waka Toa has welcomed new leaders to the team who have positions of favour that will take the company where it aims to go.

On a personal note, Kohi & Paku also welcome the return of their oldest daughter Hokinga who rejoined Waka Toa earlier this year.
